5 Years!

5 years and counting! 

Today is our 5 year anniversary! 

We went out to a really nice Italian hole in the wall restaurant and had an amazing dinner... and of course a nice glass (or two) of wine! I did say I like a nice glass of white wine every once in awhile! :) Today is "once in a while!" 

And this was a random man there that I couldn't help but admire his outfit...

Brooklyn Sadie Born: October 8th 2010 at 5:49 am 6lbs 2oz 21" long. After a 49 minute labor.

Raspberry Butter!

OMGoodness! AH-mazing!! 

So, a back in April, we went out to a restaurant on Mt. Rainer for my moms birthday. She used to work there when she was in high school. They had this "Blackberry Butter". At first I was skeptical, but if any of you have ever tried it before- you know, it is to die for!

I have been wanting to make it since then and I just have never gotten around to it... until today! :)

I made a lot... 

I used 5 cubes of  butter and almost all of a 12oz raspberry carton and about 3-4 teaspoons of powdered sugar(you can use as much or as little as you want).

Whip the butter and powdered sugar with a mixer until fluffy(using the whipping piece) then add the raspberries and using the mixer piece- just mix the berries until they start breaking apart- this will only be about 5 seconds!

I save all my baby food jars so I put the butter into these.

All those cubes made 7 small baby food jars worth!
REFRIGERATE Leftovers!

Camping and Jerky!

Ahh! We had a nice overnight camping trip and got back late last night! Here are a few pictures!

We forgot to get ice before we go to our camp site... so we had to drive back into town and get some. 45 min drive one way. This was Katie when we got back into phone service:

My dehydrator came in today! Yay! I was so excited! I tried out some jerky today and it turned out AWESOME! Soo yummy!

A few things about myself...

I am a follower of Jesus Christ.

I LOVE being a mom! It's the best thing that has ever happened to me! 

My husband makes me a better person.

My favorite season is the end of summer beginning of fall... aka sunny, jeans and a tee shirt kinda day.

I am obsessed with zebra print... REALLY obsessed! It literally makes me smile. :) 

(My sister-in-law and I just figured out that I have been obsessed for 11 years now...)

I am also obsessed with pink... not as much as zebra, but just about!

I love my legs.

I am a practical and realistic person... sometimes that is not a good thing.

I love to cook. 

When I get into cleaning, I don't want to stop! I love it!

My favorite fruit is Strawberry.

I am getting into peaches and mangoes lately- mmmm! 

I have a small case of ocd... Natalie gets it from me.

I HATE scary movies- I will NOT watch them. AT ALL!

I love high heels.

I am very girly, but really love the outdoors and getting dirty.

Italian food... enough said.

I hate seafood, I love chicken.

I HATE peanut butter, but I like peanuts.

I don't like tea, but I wish I did!

I love to swim. 

I don't drink really. I will usually pass. I do enjoy white wine sometimes.

I have never been East past Utah. (Except on a cruise with my grandparents.)

I want to go to New York really bad!
