What's in a name?

    Why the blog name?
    What does Gypsy mean?

    1. gyp·sy
      noun /ˈjipsē/
      gipsies, plural; gypsies, plural
      1. A member of a traveling people with dark skin and hair who speak Romany and traditionally live by seasonal work, itinerant trade, and fortune-telling. • The language of the gypsies; Romany
          • A nomadic or free-spirited person
So, I either need to go tanning and learn some Romany?
                Okay, tanning Alot!
Or we can just go with the third definition!
                  *A nomadic or free-spirited person*

                  1. no·mad
                    noun /ˈnōˌmad/
                    nomads, plural
                    1. A member of a people having no permanent abode, and who travel from place to place to find fresh pasture for their livestock
                      • A person who does not stay long in the same place; a wanderer
Which really ends up working perfectly since we are only on this earth for a short period of time! Then we get to head home to our Lord Jesus Christ!

                          You may be wondering... Why?

Some of you may be wondering "Why?" "That seems silly" you think to yourself. "Why would you give up a big 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom, nice living room, kitchen and dinning room, 1 car garage and a big backyard for a small 31 foot trailer?"

                          Let me tell you why!

First of all, our monthly bills will reduce significantly! Which to some, that may be enough to answer your question. :) Therefore, we will be able to save significantly more each month as well.

Our goal is to live in this trailer for around 2 year and within that time be able to save enough to pay cash for 10+ acres of land. Put a small house on the land and build our dream home as money comes in. Therefore, never having to pay a mortgage! We want to end up being pretty much self sustained off our land and such that we won't have many bills at all. Then, being able to pick up and leave anytime we please.

Most people buy a house when they save up enough money for a down payment and have steady jobs. They now HAVE to work for the next 30 years to pay off their mortgage loan! Now, they also have to wait for retirement to be able to do the things they love, vacation, travel, and spend time with their grandkids.
Of course, that is not wrong! It is just not the way we want to do it. We want to be able to spend time with our family and take our children on vacation and spend the short amount of time we have on this earth doing the things we love. Not being tied down to jobs or bills.

Yes, we may be sacrificing 2 whole years of our life living on a tight budget and living in a small space, but it is going to be soooo worth it when these measly 2 years of our life are over!

Have I sold you on a trailer yet?! ;)

This is definitely not for everyone, but we feel like this is what our Lord is calling us to do in our life right now. We can't wait to begin this big adventure in our lives, and see where the Lord is taking us!

                          My Beautiful Gypsy Life Begins!

Welcome to my life. I am a mother of two and a wife of one.  I try to live for the Lord, but thank Him that He forgives me daily for failing miserably.

                          My Girls!

We are beginning a new chapter in our family's life. Yesterday we bought a travel trailer. We are going to live in this 31 foot, two bedroom trailer and move in next door to my in-laws.
