Chocolate Orange Lip Balm

So, I am ADDICTED to chap stick! I put it on all the time. Especially at night. I love to put layers, upon layers... upon layers... etc on before I go to bed. I've told my husband that it's the best part of my day... he thinks I am joking... So now that I am going all natural, I thought that would be the first product I should make natural! I made this YUMMY Chocolate Orange lip balm the other day and have been using it for about 2 weeks now. I absolutely LOVE it! And I only need to put like one or two layers on. (My supply is going to last me forever!)
Here is the link I found the recipe from.

Bittersweet Chocolate & Orange Lip Balm
Makes 1 small container
1. Melt the cocoa butter in the microwave.
2. Add the chocolate chips and stir until melted. (You may have to microwave the mixture again for a few seconds).
3. Add vitamin E and orange extract
4. Mix well and pour into a small container

Sooo easy and smells amazing!

I am back!

Ahh! I am back! I missed writing in here! Even though I don't very often... Hopefully that will change! My computer has been down... don't really know what happened? But the screen wouldn't turn on. Then my father-in-law decided to take a look at it and it turned on for him...? Ya... hmm. Oh well, it's on... for now!

While I was away I started planning out blog ideas! Let me tell ya! I have a lot of fun ideas, food recipes and product recipes to share with you! I can't wait!

No one really reads this, but I have fun thinking they do! :) This is my fantasy world where everyone wants to know what is going on in my life! So, to ALL my loyal fans:

I have missed you! Don't fret! I am back!!  ;)

I will leave you with this:

Making my first baby food!

Today I made baby food for the first time! Katie's garden had a ton of squash and she said I could have them! So I got some sweet potatoes from the store and a yam too! There were 10 squash! A LOT of chopping up! But fun! I boiled most of them to dehydrate and then some to mix with sweet potatoes for the baby food. It turned out great!

Sooo much squash!
(And the sneaky hands that wanted to sneak them and eat them!)

Tonight for dinner we had this cashew, carrot and ginger soup with chicken in it and it was sooo good!
So, I added it to the baby food!
It tastes like not very spicy Indian food!

Pretty proud of myself!
I wanted to make my own food for Natalie when she was eating out of jars, but she outgrew that stage so quickly I never did. Then, I assumed the same would happen with Brooklyn, bus she is still eating them! lol.
So, here I am! :)

New lifestyle

Ryan and I are tired of our eating habits! They have been getting pretty bad.
We decided to change them and in a big way! I have been thinking about this for a little while now, and saying I am going to do it! In the past either Ryan or I get on a health kick and then the other isn't into it and it makes it really hard. Ryan brought it up this time and that was what I needed! So, we are going to be eating as natural and as healthy as we can! I decided to add some super foods supplements into our daily habits to get us going in the right direction. I added 3 today:
Bee Pollen, Maca Root, and Cacao :) Plus, Omega 3's(and 6's and 9's) & Vitamin B12

I went grocery shopping today and am excited about our new eating habits!
It's going to take some getting used to, but we can do it!
Ready, Set, GO!

On a side note. Getting babies up out of the crib is so much fun when you walk in to this:

:))

Saturday night I made Pumpkin Rice Crispy Treats! Mmmm, Mmmm, MMMM!
Just add a few shakes of Pumpkin Pie Spice (cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and cloves) to your marshmallows and it brings your regular treats to Fall treats! :)

YUM!

What's your favorite supplements or super food?
Or if you have any favorite healthy recipes, I'd love to try them out too!
Let me know!

Natalie's 3rd Birthday!

Natalie's birthday turned out so great! The balloons were a hit with the kids! lol

Brooklyn and her Papa Joe!

THE BEST cupcakes I have EVER eaten!
See, I can make a pretty good cupcake, but my very first boss (When I was 16) just started a business making cupcakes, so I figured I would give her a try! She made mini S'mores and Peanut butter ones...

SOOO YUMMY! If you want to check her out and live around me, here is her fb page!

Katie helping me out getting ready for lunch!

Haha! A few little kids in aw with Papa Brett bbqing outside.

Success!

So, I have been reading on other blogs so much about Pinterest and didn't really know what it was... Finally I asked a friend who posted about it on fb to invite me! I don't have it all figured out yet, but I have a feeling I am going to love it! You should follow me on it! :)

Not sure exactly what that means... but oh well! It looks like fun! :)

Tis the season for PUMPKIN!!

I have never liked pumpkin, or squash or anything like that! Until this year!! For some reason, my buds changed and I want EVERYTHING in pumpkin!! Ha! Once fall showed it's welcomed, beautiful face around here, I wanted everything to do with pumpkin!
I don't usually get Starbucks, but I have been getting pumpkin spiced lattes all the time lately! and I am wanting to bake everything out of a pumpkin!
We went to E. Wa the other day for a day trip and we drove by a Italian Market and my husband being Italian, we HAD to stop in!

Of course we wanted everything, but settled on some whole peeled tomatoes and pumpkin ravioli!

Put it on a bag of ice and brought it home for lunch!
I browned some butter, which smells amazing for anyone who has never done this! It was my first time too!

Added some fresh sage from Katie's garden

And drizzled it on the ravioli... it was to die for!!

Here are a few of hubs and I with our youngest:

Who is an avid walker now!!

Daddy and his girls!

Nothing makes a mommy more proud! :)

Tonight was Spaghetti Squash! Never heard of it?! Neither had I!
A friend posted about it on fb and I was like I gotta try that!
Healthy spaghetti!

Bake a large Spaghetti Squash in the oven with a little water in the pan at 375 degrees for about an hour and a half,

Cut in half lengthwise

Remove the seeds like in a cantaloupe,

And using a fork scrape out the spaghetti noodles!
So awesome!! :)

Then use as you would regular spaghetti!
Tonight I made it with garlic alfredo sauce!

And little personal sparkling cider bottles! :)

Obviously, everyone LOVED it!! I don't think we will be making regular spaghetti again anytime soon!

Of course I wanted to try the seeds...

I fried them with a little butter and salt...

They were OK. Next time I think I will bake them with some seasonings!
I can see the potential!

If you have any amazing pumpkin recipes, please share! I would love to try them out! :)

(Also, Natalie's 3rd birthday blog coming as soon as I get the pictures off my sisters camera! )
