Little Update!

So, I guess I need to blog everyday! Or I will be having a lot of these "Little Update" posts. :)

Sunday was "deep fry day"! And boy was it yummy!
Katie and I were in charge of the deep fryer, and as we made- everyone ate! It worked out really well and the food was so yummy! I haven't deep fried in a while since I was out of oil, but we made a Costco trip on Saturday and I picked up a little...
Or a lot...
Anyway, we deep fried a bunch of stuff:
We did Ravioli (my FAV!), onions, mozzarella sticks, homemade stuffed jalapenos, hot dogs, and we were going to do broccoli, but everyone just snacked on it raw. All in a beer batter... No I don't just drink a 24oz of Busch while I cook! ;)
Fun Sunday after church lunch/dinner!

We discovered Natalie is an artist....
  :)

I have been using my dehydrator SO much since I got it! I LOVE it! I did carrots and garlic in it and right now I have apples going!
Katie helped me shred them... next time I think I will just cut them! It was kind of a big deal!

The carrots looked and felt like confetti in a bag when they were done:

Monday I went to return our equipment to Comcast... The line was Insane! I couldn't believe it! I thought I was at the DOL for a min!

At least they had a TV.

We took Natalie to the park last night! What little kid doesn't like the park?!

Natalie and her "dam-ma"
:)

We picked up Ryan's grandma at the airport yesterday!

She lost 30lbs since the last time we saw her in Feb! She looks Awesome! I didn't take any pictures of her at the airport, but I am sure I will get some while she is here for 13 days!

Ever hear the phrase "There's no free lunch in this world"? Well, that's not entirely true!
Today... Was FREE food at the new Panda Express!

Of course we went! Who wouldn't?!

(This is Katie's "everyone look at the camera" face) :)

The line was out the door!
Good thing today was a really nice day!

You got 2 entrees, a side of either chow mien or fried rice or 1/2 and 1/2, and a drink! Ya! All that! Per person! Full portions and all! What better deal!

Panda Express is smart! All Bonney Lake was talking about it!

So, since we had an early dinner... trying to beat the rush at P.E. I have a lot of free time tonight! So I decided to put it to use... You remember the garlic I dried?

Garlic Infused Olive Oil!! YUM!
"They" say that you shouldn't just drop a clove of garlic into your oil because of the moisture in the garlic can have bacteria in it and sitting in the olive oil can kill you...! I grew up pretty much: "Expiration date was a week ago?! Eh! Smells good... probably still is good. Let's eat it!" lol. We never got sick, so... :) Plus, there have only been 3 people EVER  to have died from it and I find it hard to point it to that. BUT I figured if I have the dehydrator, I might as well be safe!
So, I boiled the glasses to sanitize them and put the garlic in and then the oil, and voila! In about a week I will have beautifully flavored oil!
Can't wait!

I also "pre-cut" my kiwi for tomorrow's dehydrating!

:)

I am getting much better at taking pictures of my daily life, now I just need to blog about it that night, so you don't have to read such long posts! At least it is mostly pictures!

Library/Pierce County Fair day!

Friday was busy! We went to story time at the library which ended up being outside since it was a "nice day". They decided to do it in the shade while it was still really chilly, so we went inside and waited until craft time.

.

Then all the kids came in to do a craft. It was sports day so they colored a shoe and put some laces in it:

Then my mother-in-law suggested we go to the Pierce County Fair! Brilliant! Quick onion bagel sandwich and off we went!

Natalie really liked the horse who directed us to our parking spot!

Haha! He water was leaking from her cup and she couldn't figure out where it was dripping from!
Yay! Just made it! (Good thing I put her hair in a pony tail that morning!)

Brooklyn just hanging out!

Coloring a tile for daddy when he gets home from his backpacking trip!
 Goats!

 Natalie's bracelet!
 Kid Zone!

The nice little girl she met named Alicea... exactly 1 month older then her! They were so cute together!

And Brooklyn playing with a water bottle.

We had such a good time! And it was a amazing day! Can't wait for the Puyallup Fair now! Natalie is a perfect age to start going on rides and having fun! :)
